In February, we rounded up our favorite clutches that can work double-time as both chic accessories and practical in-transit organizers for passports, chargers and other miscellany. This time we flipped the script and looked for travel organizers that can double as clutches: utilitarian enough to hold diapers, wipes, toiletries and other essentials when you’re on the move, but elegant enough to bring to dinner once you’ve arrived.
1. The Klein tool bags have long become a status symbol of cool hipsters, stylish handymen and the OG practitioners of gorpcore. But who can blame them—they’re practical, durable, and look good, plus they come in an endless variety of sizes and colors (the tri-color multipack is great for easy spotting in your carry-on, or if you’re travelling with multiple children!).
2. This genius organizer sits inside your tote and acts as a kind of internal folder, creating sub-compartments in your bag (keeping water bottles, diapers and even your laptop separate). It’s vegan, comes in lots of colors, and has a zip so it can double-duty as a clutch.
3. We included this Comme des Garçons organizer in our more fashion-forward clutches roundup, but wanted to reshare it here, as it’s the perfect catch-all for valuables (passport, keys, charger, etc.) within a larger bag.
4. This jacquard fabric pouch is also water-repellent. Plus it’s incredibly chic and unisex.
5. Yolanda fell in love with the large canvas tote bags from Kyoto-based brand Ichizawa Shinzaburo Hanpu at Trunk in London earlier this month—luckily for us, they also do a smaller pouch version, which is equally cool in both form and function.
6. Something about a soft, moldable black leather clutch just reads elegant, and even better if it can double as a catchall for whatever you don’t want floating around in the bottom of your bag.
7. With four separate zippered compartments, this folded cubed organizer pouch is incredibly functional and thanks to its cute handle, we can picture toting it on its own like a mini doctor’s bag. We especially love it in the red and blue stripe.
8. We all love the LL.Bean Boat and Tote, which is iconic prep for a reason, and the Boat and Tote canvas zip pouch is just as cute, perfect for throwing in any bag and then wearing to the lobster boil.
9. Our associate editor Clara swears by her Quitterie pouches. Available in a variety of sizes and made from an imitation epi leather material, they can be stuffed, squished and layered within one another without affecting the shape. Plus they’re chic enough to carry around on their own.

Thanks to its nylon flexibility, this Porter-Yoshida document case can be stuffed to the gills with anything from papers, diapers, toiletries, valuables and more, without looking sloppy.
