My Paris List

I’ve been wanting to put this together for a while, but I gotta be honest, it wasn’t easy! Most of you have been to this great city at least once, if not many times, so I wanted to make sure I didn’t overstate the obvious—you don’t need me to tell you about the cultural must-dos, or about Café de Flore, Angelina, or Brasserie Lipp. (Not that I don’t love them!) I’ve tried to include a range of hotels, from the cheap(er) and chic to the once-in-a-lifetime, and restaurants that aren’t all classic French, because sometimes you don’t want duck confit or steak frites, and this is a town with amazing options. As for shopping, I’ve only listed the really special and unique-to-Paris spots—and all the other stuff is very easy to you to figure out on your own. All of the listings come from personal experience, or suggestions from friends who live there, or travel there frequently, so I hope you enjoy—and please let me know if there’s something you can’t believe I missed. —Y.E.
