A couple of summers ago, I finally made it to Oaxaca. I had been meaning to go for a while, but was waiting for the right moment to travel with someone who knew it really well. Then when my dear friends Cristina Hudson and Marissa Sanchez from Hudson Ranch & Vineyards in Napa Valley invited me to join them (they’ve spent so much time there over several decades), I said yes immediately.
