The Kerchief Scarf

It’s no secret that just about everyone gets cold on planes. The bipolar temperature regulation mixed with a paper-thin blanket often results in a very cold, and very unhappy passenger. When I travel, one of my must-haves in my carry-on is a scarf, and I have long struggled to find the one that perfectly balances style, warmth, utility and comfort—until now. The triangle scarf, almost reminiscent of a French foulard (and maybe traditionally a beautiful silk scarf), has been reborn in wool, and boasts all of my necessary factors. It is small enough to roll up into a bag, tuck under a shirt, or with a sweater, and discreetly keep your neck warm on a freezing plane, without the ends traveling over into the seat next to you.

Here are two that we love here at YOLO: the Pure New Wool Bandana from Scottish-based brand, Kestin, and the ISSIMO Cashmere Triangle Scarf, both of which, when tied around your neck, manage to keep you warm while being incredibly chic. Both can also be tied around your head, in an Audrey-Hepburn-in-a-convertible sort of way, for an extra layer of protection from your fellow passengers when flying.
